The Waynesboro Day Care Center is a non- profit child care facility that provides safe, high-quality, affordable day care in a child-centered environment that fosters dignity, respect and learning,

Toddler and preschool years are full of exploration, years your child is learning the the fundamentals of communication and interaction for the future. One of the early learning programs at WDCC is called "Mind in the Making" Our staff builds confidence and trust with Children and parents.

Our Curriculum is based on circle time activities, art, music, dramatic play, science, reading and physical development. The curriculum includes a pre-school computer program. We encourage skills in creative art, dramatic play, science and math, language development, physical development and social interations. Children are given time for hands-on investigation and oppurtunities to create, reason, problem solve, socialize, and communicate, so they will discover and learn at their own individual pace. Since the children learn best when they are able to make their own choices about learning, our play-oriented activities offer choices and freedom of expression.

Funding for WDCC comes from United way of Franklin County, Child Care Information Services, The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, an annual fund drive, program fees and private donations.

Program fees are based on a sliding scale according to the income of parents and/or guardians. To nurture growth, a nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are included in the program fees. We offer weekly, daily, half-day and before and/or after-school rates for ages 6 weeks to 12 years.

Transportation is provided for some before and after school programs.
