What licensing and accreditation does the program have?
~~The Waynesboro Day Care Center is licensed through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. We have also achieved a higher than required standard by earning a Four Star rating through the Keystone STARS Child Care Quality Program.

What are the discipline practices?
~~We believe that good discipline is positive and non-threatening, that it works to increase the children's respect for themselves, that it encourages them to become responsible for their own actions, and to respect the rights and feelings of others. The teachers use a variety of positive guidance techniques to encourage self-control. The staff strives to be consistent, positive, and understanding of individual needs.

Are surprise visits and input from the parents encouraged?
~~Yes! A quality child care program is a team effort which involves everyone. We look forward to working with you and your family. We encourage parents to participate by sharing ideas and concerns, visiting us, and participating in our programs, conferences, and informal meetings.

Are Meals Provided?
~~Yes! Everyday we provide a nutritious breakfast, a hot lunch, and an afternoon snack. We participate with and meet the criteria of the Child and Adult Care Food Program of the Department of Agriculture.

What child care or day care services do you provide if my child goes to public school?
~~We collaborate with the school system and provide transportation to most area schools. Depending on your work schedule, we can provide services before school, after school, or both. During the school year, all-day service is provided for school holidays for a minimal charge.
